Monaco-Ville

Monaco-Ville is one of Monaco's administrative divisions located on a rocky headland extended into the Mediterranean. It is one of the four traditional quarters of the country, the others are La Condamine, Monte Carlo, and Fontvieille.
Monaco-Ville is located at 43 ° 44’ 15” N, 7° 24’ 55” E and its population is estimated in 1151 people. 
Some of the landmarks in Monaco-Ville are the Prince's Palace, The Cathedral, The Oceanographic Museum and the Chapel of Mercy.













Prince's Palace of Monaco

The Prince's Palace of Monaco is the official residence of the Prince of Monaco and it is located in Monaco-Ville. 






















The Palace Guards
Honour, Loyality, and Devotion to Duty is the motto on the flag of the Palace Guards, a group created in 1817 to provide 24-hours security for the Palace, the royal residences, the Sovereign Prince and His Family.










Saint Nicholas Cathedral
The Cathedral of Our Lady of the Immaculate Conception, also known as Saint Nicholas Cathedral, is the cathedral of the Catholic Archdiocese of Monaco, where the Grimaldi family is buried.





Oceanographic Museum
The Oceanographic Museum was inaugurated in 1910 by Prince Albert I. It has an impressive façade above the sea, towering over the sheer cliff face to a height of 85.04 m. It took 11 years to build it using 100 000 tons of stone from La Turbie.
