30th Anniversary Gala at La Maison de l’Amérique Latine

La Maison de l'Amerique Latine de Monaco is celebrating its 30th Anniversary in the Salle des Etoiles at the Sporting Monte-Carlo on Saturday 20th July at 8:30 PM.
This year the charity gala is dedicated to the preservation of the Amazon forest in Peru and many artists will be present.

Art Auction in Monte Carlo

On July 12 and 13 will be held at Carré Doré in Monte-Carlo an important art auction, with works by Andy Warho, Pablo Picasso, Salvador Dalí, Joan Miró, etc, as well as jewelry and vintage Hermes and Chanel bags.

Sporting Summer Festival

The Sporting Summer Festival is the most famous event on the Riviera with stars from the USA, UK, Italy, France, etc. From July 6 until August 19 at the Salle des Etoiles.

Elisa Jo in Monaco

The Grimaldi Forum will host on June 15th a concert by the young French singer Elisa Jo. Her songs Coeur de Pirate, Yaël Naïm, Zaz, etc. will be performed.

53rd Festival de Télévision

From 9 until 13 June the Grimaldi Forum will host the 53rd Television Festival. The programme includes preview screenings, series launches, autograph signings, meetings with international stars, etc. The ceremony to award the Nymphe d'Or will be held on June 13.

Violins of Hope

The Monte-Carlo Philarmonic Orchestra conducted by Maestro Gianluigi Gelmetti with the participation of Shlomo Mintz will perform for the first time in the Principality of Monaco on May 5 at Grimaldi Forum.

World Dance Day

During the World Dance Day, on April 29, in Monaco will be performed 'The Rythm of Life' in an original and playful format: from streed dancing to flamenco, salsa, and modern coreography.

11st Anti-Aging Medicine World Congress & MEDISPA

The 11st Anti-Aging Medicine World Congress & Medispa wil be held at Grimaldi Forum from 4th unti 6th April.
320 speekers are expected to present the global treatment of aging. Translations will be provided to English, French, Italian, Russian, and Spanish.

Carré Doré Collection

From 19th March until 1st of April at Carré Doré Monaco are exposed about 1000 pieces of art by artsit like Adonai, Alex Ammann, Andy, Jin Bo, Olga Muravina or Masami Takemoto.

EVER Monaco

The annual show about alternatives energies will this year bring answers to the problems of transport and saving energy. The program will include talks, round tables, and even the possibility to drive two-wheeled vehicles.
The exhibition will be held from 27th until 30th March at Grimaldi Forum. The entrance is free.

Kiwanis Club de Monaco

The Kiwanis Club of Monaco organises on 26th March at 20:00 a concert by the Fanfare of the Prince's Company of Carabiniers. The concert will be host by the Auditorium Rainier III.

International Day of Happiness at The Vistamar

The International Day of Happiness was founded last year by the United Nations. To celebrate it, the Hôtel Hermitage welcomes guests from 20-23 March in its restaurant Vistamar.

A special menu simple called 'Menu of Happiness' will be specially prepared for the ocassion by Chef Joël Garault.

2nd Pink Ribbon Monaco

Printemps des Arts de Monte-Carlo

The music festival 'Printemps des Arts de Monte-Carlo' will take place this year from 15th March until 14th April under the patronage of H.R.H. the Princess of Hanover.
This year it will be possible to enjoy not just music, but also pre-performances conferences, master classes, film-shows, etc.

Nobuaki Tomita in Monaco

The well known kimono stylist and textile designer from Japan, Nobuaki Tomita, will be in Monaco to show his creations. During the show he will show how to dress kimonos.
The show will be held at the Princess Grace Theatre on Friday 15th March at 6 PM.

Fashion Art

The Art Gallery Carré D'Or presents from 5th to 18th March the exhibition Fashion Art.

Kick-Boxing Gala

For the second time a Kick Boxing Gala is going to take place in Monaco. This time the event will be held on 9th March at the Stadium Louis II (Salle Gaston Medecin) at 8 PM.

The first Monaco Anime Game Show (MAGS) will reassemble the greatest key figures of the world of video games, manga, sci-fi and webseries next weekend (2nd and 3rd March) at the Grimaldi Forum.

Today is Saint Devota's Day

On 27th January is celebrated St. Devota's Day.

She was born in Corsica around 283 AD. She was martyred by being stoned to death for her faith. After that the governor ordered to burn her body to prevent the veneration, but it was saved by Christians. The body was placed on a boat bound for Africa, but because of a storm took the boat to where today is the Principality of Monaco. Her body was discovered by a fishermen and a chapel was built in her honour.

The chapel was rebuilt several times and in 1536 it was acquired by the Lord of Monaco, Honoré I.

37th Monte-Carlo International Circus Festival

Next Sunday, 27th January, the 37th Monte Carlo International Circus Festival will arrive to the end. The Festival takes place at the Chapiteau du Cirque.

La Traviata in Monaco

The opera in three acts by Giuseppe Verdi will be played at the Opéra de Monte Carlo from 25 January until 3 February.
These performances will inaugurate the tributes to Verdi on the bicentenary of his birth.

The Pope receives the Princes of Monaco

Vatican City, 12 January 2013 (VIS) - This morning in the Apostolic Palace of the Vatican, the Holy Father received in audience His Serene Highness Prince Albert II of Monaco along with his wife, Princess Charlene, and entourage. Following the audience with the Pope, the prince met with Cardinal Secretary of State Tarcisio Bertone, S.D.B., and Archbishop Dominique Mamberti, secretary for Relations with States.

During the course of cordial discussions several topics were covered including the meaningful contribution of the Catholic Church to the principality’s social life and international interests such as the integral development of peoples and the protection of natural resources and the environment.

The Nouveau Musée National de Monaco was asked to loan two automata inspired by Oriental culture from the Collection Galea: The Snake Charmer and The Hookah Smoking.

Vatican II, a Council for the World

On the 50th Anniversary of the opening of Council Vatican II, on Friday 30th November the Cathedral of Monaco will host a symposium from 20:00-22:30.

HSH Prince Albert II visits the Republic of Turkey

HSH Prince Albert II of Monaco visited Turkey from 6th to 7th November 2012.
During his visit, he placed a wreath at the Mausoleum of Mustafa Kemal Atatürk, visited the President of the Republic of Turkey. He also took part in a meeting with members of the Chamber of Economic Developement of Istanbul and the Principality. Finaly he visited Bogazici University, where he gave a speech regarding the environment and then attended a reception organized by the Fondation Albert II de Monaco.

Monte Carlo Casino

The Monte Carlo Casino is a gambling and entertainment complex located in Monte Carlo, Monaco. It was built in 1893 by Charles Garnier, the architect of the Paris Opera House and it includes a casino, the Grand Théâtre de Monte Carlo, and the office of Les Ballets de Monte Carlo.

Price for Monaco

Monaco was recognised during the Night View Convention Summit in Nagasaki (4-6 October 2012) as one of the three cities with the best night-time view in the world. The price was received by H.E. Mr. Patrick Medecin, Ambassador of Monaco to Japan.

Everyone is welcome to become a member in one of the five different types of membership.

The Exotic Garden

The Exotic Garden was opened in 1933. It has a wide variety of succulents in an outstanding open-air surrounding.

The plants in this garden come from various dry zones: the South-West of the United-States; Mexico; Central and South America; South Africa; Eastern Arabia and the Arabian Peninsula.
The flowering period is spread over the whole year depending on the place of origin of each species: winter for Aloes and African Crassula, spring and summer for most cacti.

H.R.H. Caroline, Princess of Hanover

H.R.H. Caroline Louise Marguerite, Princess of Hanover, Hereditary Princess of Monaco, was born in January 23rd 1957 in the Princes Palace (Monaco).
She is the eldest daughter of TT. SS. HH. Prince Rainier III and Princess Grace Kelly. The Princess of Hanover is the elder sister of H.S.H. Albert II, Prince of Monaco, and H.S.H. Princess Stéphanie. She has been heiress presumptive to the throne of Monaco since 2005, a position which she previously held from 1957 to 1958.
Princess Caroline is the wife of H.R.H. Ernst August, Prince of Hanover, the head of the House of Hanover and pretender to the former throne of the Kingdom of Hanover, as well as senior male-line descendant of George III of the United Kingdom.

4th Argentinian Tango Festival

From 10th to 14th October Monaco will host the 4th Argentinian Tango Festival. During those days will be possible to see interesting venues at the restaurant Chaumière, the Théâtre des Variétés and the Yacht Club.

AS Monaco FC

AS Monaco is a football club based in Fontvieille. It was founded in 1924 and currently plays in Ligue 2. The home matches are hosted by the Stade Louis II. The manager is Claudio Ranieri and the capitain, Andreas Wolf.

Théâtre de Musées in Moneghetti

On 19th September was inaugurated a new theatre in Monaco in the district of Moneghetti (45 A Av. du Jardin Exotique). The theatre can host up to 100 people. The comedian Anthea Sogno will open an acting course for adults and children. Best wishes!

New National Council Building

Last week was inaugurated the new National Council building in presence of the Royal Couple.
To build it were used only eco-friendly and sustainable products and it was designed by the architect Jean-Miche Ughes.
